We have come this far by faith on the shoulders of three God-fearing, faith-driven, and Holy Spirit led women. It was their idea and desire to have a Black Seventh-day Adventist church in the Bay Area, and in November 1923 the vision was cast. Though the building purchased in 1924—on the corner of 34th and Market—has transformed from its original blueprint, its purpose has remained the same to be a venue used to spread the good news the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. The family of God that has met here week after week for 98 years has done so with one goal in mind: to build healthy families, fellowship with our community through service and biblical education and live a life that allows us the opportunity to be with Christ forever!

SO MANY WAYS TO HELP AND GET INVOLVED:
- Invite a family member, friend or community stakeholder via a phone call, text message or email, or even a classic note in the mail to our 95th anniversary.
- Pray with us every day at 9 AM and 5 PM, that our efforts would be driven and blessed by Christ and that this celebration would draw more people closer to Him.
- Donate $95 each month (Jul-Nov) to support the efforts related to this grand celebration.
- Participate in our next rally day on August 11th by bringing your donations to Divine Worship. We are specifically asking for school supplies (pens, notebooks, paper, pencils, crayons, and markers) and your financial contributions on this day.
- Contribute to our community by providing toiletries or school supplies from now until November 17. Then on November 17, you can join us as we package and distribute the toiletries to our homeless brothers and sisters.
- Purchase or donate during our monthly fundraisers.
